hello fellow readers i am filling in the past information . what i want to tell you is that  we got a older female rat from one of our rat breeders and we asked if there was any chance that she was pregnant she said that she did not think so and 24 days later she gave birth to 14 hooded  kittens.


plus Nina my Himalayan rat she has a gigantic mammary tumor and she is having trouble walking and she is still happy but we do not want to wait any longer so we are going to but her down.:{

hello i am back again to talk to my fellow viewers and i have much to tell you peeps so right now i have 8 rats i used to have 9 but sadley  she was killed by one of my fellow rats witch was todd  a 5 weak old baby rat sadley has no chance faced two a1 pound  male rat but she is in a better place

I'm back

I'm back I was not posting for a little bit... But I'm back now and I have more suriping stuff to tell you..
It began with our trip Durham and to adopt 4 BIG boys rats, but we kept one and had to take the other 3 back, that is a whole different story. 

Nina is from Queen City Rattery... she is a Himalayan rat, isn't she is beautiful.

play time

Play time is so much fun. If your rats are very small they can get in to tiny spots so what I would do is put them on a large table, keep it blank & clear no little things like a Barbie shoe if you have little girls. Put lots of toys like toilet paper tubes for them to play with.

What size cages to buy

It depends on how many rats you have lets start with 3. For our three we have a very big cage BUT you have to put a lot of toys in the cage like this. It should look like this photo. If you have boring cage you have to take them out to play at least an hour a day.

The difference in male & female rats

There are several differences between male and female rats. Male rats are very cuddly and sweet but they all can hardly walk beacause of their butts ....But girls are all over the place and they do not have the prob with their butts like the males do .

Betty& Sue were the best rats I have ever had.

My Aunt Brittany bought her for me at a pet store.

She died a few weeks later beacause she was not healthy.

She was born in a breeder/feeder mill and sold to a pet store. Because of the terrible conditions she lived in she was born

with a fatal respiratory disease.

I miss Sue soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

How to choose a pet rat.

When you pick a pet rat you should not get a pet rat from a pet store because it was born in a box fed a bland diet and not healthy also they are mostly breed for snake food. The mothers are breed over and over again until they die.
